Lactulose 3.3 g is a well-established osmotic laxative indicated for the treatment of chronic constipation and
the management of hepatic encephalopathy (HE). It is safe for use in children, adults, elderly, and even pregnant
for women under medical supervision, especially managing hormonal or iron-induced constipation. With its gentle and
non-habit-forming action, Lactulose is ideal for long-term bowel regulation without causing dependence or electrolyte imbalance.

• Mode of Action: Lactulose is a synthetic, non-absorbable disaccharide that reaches the colon unchanged, where bacterial fermentation produces acids that lower pH, draw water, soften stools,
  and stimulate peristalsis. It also reduces ammonia absorption in hepatic encephalopathy, aiding neurological symptom control by converting ammonia to ammonium.
